Post four: Rhetorical Context

In Carrolls essay “Backpacks vs. Briefcases”, she talks about analyzing what's in front of you and running with it, along with other things. The statement “Instead, you quickly took in the information and made an informed, and likely somewhat accurate, decision about that person.” (Carroll 46). This quote summed up is saying, you took in what someone looked like or what the outside looks like and you made a judgement. Which is basically analyzing a situation. This is what we will be doing for doc2, analyzing the essays and making a decision about them. I want my readers to read my essay and choose to make a decision of choosing education as their major.

  1. I really like how you interpreted the essay, about taking what you've learned and collected and making your decisions. Also with knowing what a situation analyzing would look like. Your essay seems to be an interesting topic to read.
